Once you think you’re a good fit send links to published or unpublished articles you have written to us at submissions [at] pixldinc.com . We’ll review your work and get back to you asap ( and we promise no later than 7 business days) with a Yea or Nay. Length of posts are not critical but quality of content and subject matter surely are.
At this time we are unable to provide monetary compensation to our writers.
Contributing Wallpaper Designs
At the start of each month, thanks to our contributors, we make available, High Quality Desktop Wallpapers for Free Download to our readers.
There are usually 2 versions; Those with the current month’s calendar embedded, which, in addition to keeping your desktop fresh, helps to keep you on schedule, and versions without the calendar, which are timeless and can be used regardless of the month.
You are welcome to contribute your designs. Note that, on publishing, your name and a link back to your portfolio or website will be displayed.
Kindly refer to the following guidelines for design submission:
- Decide what theme you want to design for. e.g. Typography, etc
- Design your wallpaper, using a Minimum of 5 of the following resolutions:2560×1440, 1920×1200, 1920×1080, 1680×1050, 1440×900, 1280×1024, 1280×800 and 1024×768px. Optionally you could add a design for mobile; 320×480px (iPhone) or 1024×1024px (iPad)
- Submit your wallpapers either in JPG (.jpg) or PNG (.png) formats
- Design Two Versions of each wallpaper; Ones containing a calendar for the upcoming month and ones without a calendar.
- You may also include your logo if you choose to, but ensure that all wallpapers contain a PixlD Logo [Download Here].
- Please name your files as follows:
‘month_YY’-’[theme_name]‘-c-’resolution’.jpg (.jpg, with calendar) and
‘month_YY’-’[theme_name]‘-nc-’resolution’.png (.png, without calendar)Example: if, for February, 2011, you designed a wallpaper at “1920×1200″ Resolution with the Theme Name of “Black Valentine”, then your file name will be:
“february_11-black_valentine-c-1920×1200.jpg” (with calendar) and
“february_11-black_valentine-nc-1920×1200.jpg” (without calendar). - Pack your wallpapers in one .zip archive and Send via e-mail to submissions [at] pixldinc.com with the subject “Desktop Wallpaper Calendar: Month, Theme Name”.
Submission must be received, (at the latest), two days before the end of the month.
